WWE Vorst 07-11-2008!!!

Vorst was sold out for the WWE Smackdown\ECW Survivor Series Tour! The crowd was hot! A great night of WWE action for the third year in a row. First, some really heavy traffic getting into Brussels. Upon arrival, we (Koen, Gerry and I, Dieter was already there) bought some T-shirts.

Justin Roberts was the ring announcer.

Carlito and Primo Colon defeated the Miz and John Morrison in a match for the WWE Tag Team titles. Morrison is one fine athlete, the Shaman of Sexy as he calls himself has a great body. Now don't get me wrong, I certainly don't swing that way, but if I would... Maybe, my Irish colleague Declan does have a point. He considers wrestling is the closest thing to gay porn :) Anyway, Carlito picked up the win after hitting the "backcracker" finisher. The match was very good with excellent crowd response.

The Great Khali squashed Ryan Braddock.

The diva team of Maria and Michelle McCool defeated the beautiful Maryse and her partner Natalya. Now that Torrie left the WWE, "the sexiest of sexy" Maryse is my new number one diva. T&A all the way!!!

In a triple threat match for the US title, the champion Shelton Benjamin battled R-Truth and The Brian Kendrick. Entertaining back and forward action with Benjamin retaining the title after he pinned The Brian Kendrick. Again an A grade match.

"The All American American" Jack Swagger battled Finlay, who was accompanied by Hornswoggle. Fun match-up. In the end, Finlay pinned Swagger after a turnbuckle splash by Hornswoggle and a shot with the shillelagh. Finlay and Hornswoggle posed for pictures and with the Belgian flag as well.

Tag team action up next, as MVP and Mark Henry, accompanied by Tony Atlas, teamed up against one of the greatest tag teams in history the Hardy Boyz, Matt and Jeff! First time I got to see Jeff in real life, finally! He was suspended before WrestleMania XXIV, where he probably should have won the money in the bank ladder match. Man was I pissed off back then. However, now I was excited to see him perform in the squared circle. The Hardyz were insanely over and won the match after a Twist of Fate by Matt and an impressive Swanton Bomb by Jeff on MVP.

Kung Fu Naki was quickly beaten by Ezekiel Jackson with a standing side slam. Nobody was really interested and the crowd was not into this match at all.

WWE champion Triple H defeated Vladimir Kozlov by disqualification. When The Game's music hit, it almost blew the roof off the arena! Triple H hit all of his trademark moves and earned a DQ victory when Kozlov hit him with the mic. In our opinion, the match was too slow. It looked like a try out for their match at Survivor Series.

In the main event, The Undertaker (what an entrance!) defeated Big Show in a no DQ match that involved a chair, the old school rope walk and chokeslams. Good back and forward match between the two, which the crowd loved. Undertaker locked in his submission finisher and Show tapped. Great atmosphere, Undertaker struck his signature pose in the middle of the ring to end the night.

We already got our tickets for next year, 06-11-2009!!!

The best tag team in history!!!
